Personal Data We Collect

We collect data from users that have created accounts with us, either free or paid.

We ask for consent during the account creation process with a checkbox. Alternative we ask for consent over the phone or via letter and confirm via email. A link to this page is provided during the account creation process. Information regarding data protection and consent is also a part of our general terms and conditions.

The legal basis for us to collect the data is to be able to provide you with a service.

NewsMachine & PressMachine relies primarily on servers owned and operated by ourselves  to maintain its our services. We never shares or resell any of our data. Our servers are located in Europe, Stockholm, Sweden.

In addition we use a limited amount of third party services to operate our business.

In Europe:

  • Microsoft for Office 365 (Germany).

International:

  • Amazon S3, US (Video storage).
  • Google Analytics (US).

Who Has Access to Our Data?

Data at NewsMachine is not shared or sold with any third party.

How we protect your dataNewsMachine staff  have access to users data for the purpose of providing services.

We rarely use contractors but if we do contractors are requested to delete this data at the end of their mission.

How we protect your data

All servers are located in physically safe premises, protected by security and access control with logging for physical access. We apply Data protection best practice for configuration and maintenance of our servers and services to minimize risk.
