Quick Guide to Newsletters

NewsMachines Newsletter is a comprehensive marketing platform that helps you manage customer communication effectively. Our strategy emphasizes:

  • Effective contact management
  • Easy to desig campaigns
  • Powerful data analysis

Step 1 – Create a Campaign

A campaign is a message sent via email, ads, or other channels.

Steps to create a campaign:

  • Log in to NewsMachine.
  • Navigate to“Newsletter” in the top menu.
  • Select “Create” in the submenu and choose a campaign type (e.g. campaign).
  • Click on “Create” and give your campaign a name.

1. Select Recipients

To maximize engagement, ensure your contact list is:

  • Clean and up-to-date
  • Properly segmented for targeted messaging

When setting up your account, you can:

  • Import subscribers and lists
  • Edit default audience information
  • Add new contacts as needed

2. Set Subject Line & Preview Text

  • Subject line: Choose an attention-grabbing subject to attract recipients.
  • Preview text: This short snippet appears below the sender’s name in the inbox.

3. Configure Sender & Reply -To Address

  • Sender address: The email address from which the newsletter is sent.
  • Reply-to address: The email where responses will be directed.

Example: If the sender is news@company.com, but you want replies to go to support@company.com, set support@company.com as the reply-to address.

Step 2 – Design Your Newsletter

Designing an email in NewsMachine is easy with the drag-and-drop editor. Click the “Design Email” button. Choose a pre-designed template to customize or select a blank template to start from scratch.

Use of drag-and-drop elements

  1. Text: Drag the “Text” icon, type your content, format and save.
  2. Images: Drag the “Img /video” icon, select an image from your library and adjust the format.
  3. Image + Text: Use “Img caption” to combine text with an image. Position them as needed.
  4. Buttons: Add Button, customize the text and link to a web page, file or email.
  5. Spacing: Use “Spacer” to add blank spaces with optional background color.
  6. Video: Drag the “Img /video” icon, insert a video link and customize the layout.
  7. Code: Use “Code” to add custom HTML elements.
  8. Grid – Use “Grid” to create multiple columns, such as placing two images side by side.

💡 Tip: For smoother editing, we recommend adding a “Spacer” after each content block.

Step 3 – Save & Preview

Click on content blocks to style and adjust settings. Once you are satisfied with your newsletter design:

  • Save your progress
  • Send a test email to yourself
  • Make final adjustments if necessary

Step 4 – Schedule & Send

When your newsletter is perfect, you can:

  • Schedule it for future delevery
  • Send it immediately
