How do I add a new report recipient?

  1. Log in to NewsMachine.
  2. Navigate to “Monitor” in the top menu.
  3. Select “Share” in the submenu and then click on “Recipients” in the left menu.
  4. Click on “Add” to add a new recipient of reports.
  5. Fill in the recipient’s details and click on “Save“.
  6. Navigate to “Reports” in the left menu.
  7. Select the desired report and scroll to the bottom of the page.
  8. Under “Select recipient“, link the recipient to the relevant agents.
  9. Configure additional settings such as notifications and delivery time.
  10. Save Settings

How do I pause or close report emails?

  1. Go to “Monitoring” in the top menu.
  2. Select “Share” in the submenu and then click on “Recipients” in the left menu.
  3. Find the person to be removed from the mailing and click on “Remove“.
  4. To temporarily remove a person, select “Reports” in the left menu.
  5. Locate the reports the person receives and scroll to “Select recipient“.
  6. Click on the name to deselect it and then click on “Save“.

What if I forget my password or need to register a new one?

  1. Visit https://market.newsmachine.com.
  2. Click on “Log in” at the top right.
  3. Enter the registered email address.
  4. Click on “Forgot password“.
  5. You will receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password.

How do I filter out unwanted search results/hits from the search agent?

You can refine your search by filtering the media sources that your agent monitors. Follow these steps:

  1. Access to the media list filtering:
    • Go to “Monitoring” > “Agents” (in the submenu).
    • Click “Agents” in the left-hand menu.
    • Select “Edit” for the current agent.
    • In the edit menu, click on “Edit media list” (top right corner).
  2. Filtering options:
    • Filter by language:
      • Under “Languages“, click on “Deselect all” and then select your preferred language.
    • Filter by country:
      • Under “Countries“, deselect unwanted locations.
    • Filter by channels:
      • Under “Channels“, deselect categories such as Municipalities, Authorities or Social Media if they are irrelevant.
    • Filter by sources:
      • Note the names of the irrelevant sources in your inbox.
      • Click on the edit icon next to the agent’s name.
      • Select “Edit Media List” then search for the source name.
      • Uncheck the source box and click “Done” (in the top menu), then “Done” to save the changes.

How do I get a quick overview of the publicity of our organization or a topic?

  1. Navigate to “Monitor” > “Analysis“, where you can quickly and easily create an automatic analysis report.
  2. Select the search agents to be included in the report.
  3. Enter the date range and click on “Update“.
  4. The system will generate an overview of the selected agents’ media coverage.

How do I set up an SMS alert?

  1. Log in to NewsMachine.
  2. Navigate to “Monitor” in the top menu.
  3. Go to “Share” in the submenu and then click on “Recipients” in the left menu.
  4. Select an existing recipient to edit or create a new one.
  5. Enter a mobile phone number in the format +46 7XXXXXXXX and save.
  6. Navigate to “Reports” in the left menu.
  7. Click Create Report and upload a report including the agents that need to be covered. This ensures the report is specifically for the SMS alert.
  8. Set the format to “Email” and select “SMS” as the delivery method.
  9. Select “When it happens” to receive an SMS notification immediately when new content is detected.
  10. Click on “Save” to confirm the settings.

How do I get “Ad Value and Reach” in Analytics?

  1. Navigate to “Monitor” > “Analysis“.
  2. Click on “Create statistics” in the left menu.
  3. Under the Basic tab, > Report Template”, select“Standard incl. Reach/Ad Value” from the dropdown menu for report templates.
  4. Select the agents for analysis, enter the date range and click “Update“.

How do I view “Ad Value and Reach” in the Dashboard?

  1. Navigate to “Monitoring” > “Dashboard“.
  2. Create a “New Widget” and select “Graph“.
  3. Choose one or more agents.
  4. Adjust the settings:
    • The default view shows the number of hits over time.
    • Select “Reach“, “Ad Value” or “Issue” under the “Sum hits on” label to see additional metrics.
  5. The system will display the selected data, providing a clear media impact overview.

Can I import search strings from other platforms?

No, direct import of search strings is not supported. Some modifications are required. A detailed guide is available in the Manual, or you can contact NewsMachine Support for assistance.

Why haven’t I received my morning report?

If you have not received your report:

  1. Check your junk mail / spam folder.
  2. If the report is not there, check your inbox for new hits.
  3. If no new hits have been received, no report will be generated.
  4. If there are new hits from the last 24 hours but no report, contact NewsMachine Support for help.
